East Midlands Today!

Heres a snippet of what I have been up to this summer on the TV!

Hopefully we might even get to do a piece on chillis in the near future so I may be looking for some chilli fiends who are willing to put their tastebuds on the line!

Chilli Season 2010!

Hey folks

Ok ok ok, yes the updates and general news hs been pretty damn rubbish but now its the start to our chilli season, it has now got our undivided attention! There has been an awful lot cracking off so maybe a little update is needed.

The summer has been crazily busy for a number of reasons. Obviously with trying to run the nursery which has been manic, the chillis have been looked after repotted but we havent reported about them!

I was made East Midlands Today gardener on the TV which has been absolutly brilliant and I have enjoyed every minute of working with everybody there and getting my ugly mug on the TV! I will ost up a video asap for those who have yet to see it! I have also been busy with BBC Radio Leicester and for this my time has quite simply run away!

Another massive honour is that I have been asked to be a patron for The Shuttlewood Clarke Foundation (http://shuttlewood-clarke.org/) Its a fantastic charity that does brilliant things and I’m incredibly proud to be asked to be part of it and help to promote it. There are going to be a lot more events coming up which will be posted on here. So keep checking back!

Paul is cooking up a storm in London studying for his PHD and was last seen locking himself away in his bedroom for possibly the most monterous dissertation ever!

Steve is continually working hard on his project in Cornwall and is suffering with a bad shoulder, so if you see him, give him some love!

The chillis are  now all potted up and for any chilli freaks of you out there can be viewed at DErrys Nurseries in Cossington. We have over 100 varieties again this year and within the next 2 weeks, operation sauce will commence! We will be producing three limited edition chilli sauces this year and will ask for feedback to see which ones we will add to our range.

We have also been approached by numerous deli’s and restaurants who would like to stock our sauces so if you know of anybody, we will be going out in September and going out to see people so please get in touch if you know anybody who might be interested!

I will be posting up a list of all chilli varities by the end of the week.

The aim is to post up an update from now on each and every week.

Big chilli love!

Sorry Sorry Sorry! But Hello!

Hey People!

Firstly a massive apology for our lack of information and updating of the site. For this……………We are sorry. In fact very very very sorry.

We have been busy away from the chillis. Paul is down studying hard for his PHD but partying harder in London. I have been busy at the nursery and with various media ventures. I am officially East Midlands Today new Tv Gardener so be sure to watch every Weds between 1830-1900, DO IT!!

We have 90 types of chilli plants this year and will be repotting these up within the next 3-4 weeks when they will be ready for sale.

The first batch of sauces will also be ready around this time so you can get your mitts on them as well!

I will be posting some photos up and dates of where we will be loitering about selling our chilli delights!

Market Bosworth Farmers Market

Hey you mighty fine people!

Just a little note to let you know that we shall be doing our thang at Market Bosworth’s World Famous Farmers Market. It runs from 0900 until 1400 in Market Place. Although we dont technically have a stall within the big players of the market, we shall be allocated behind them. We will be the riff raff with the sombreros on, but should you require some chilli goodness then stop by, try our tasty free samples and say hey.

Look forward to seeing you tomorrow
